DAY 01 : ARRIVE NEGOMBO
Arrive in Sri Lanka & transferred to Negombo.

Overnight stay at Negombo (Deluxe Room)

DAY 02 : NEGOMBO - PINNAWELA
After breakfast you will be taken to Pinnawela – The unique home for orphaned elephants, also a breeding centre, you will be able to see baby elephants feed and bathe at their special orphanage.

PINNAWELA - DAMBULLA
Thereafter proceed to visit Dambulla Cave Temple - a vast isolated rock mass 500ft high and a mile around the base. Here is found the famous Rock Temple dating to the First Century BC. The caves of Dambulla sheltered the King Walagamba during his 14 years of exile from Anuradhapura. When he regained the throne he built the most magnificent of Rock Temples to be found on the Island.

DAMBULLA - SIGIRIYA
Proceed to hotel in Sigiriya.

DAY 03 : SIGRIYA - POLONNARUWA
After breakfast proceed to Polonnaruwa - the Capital of Sri Lanka from 11th - 13th Century, contains some splendid and spectacular statues. Lankatileke, Tivanka and Thuparama are the most beautiful and largest shrine ruins and Tivanka has the best example of frescoes of the Polonnaruwa period. Rankot Vihara and Kiriwehera are well preserved large stupas, and Gal Vihare - a rock shrine, has four Buddha statues, two seated, one standing and one reclining and Parakrama Bahu statue are examples of Sinhalese stone carver. The Vata-da-ge is a unique creation of the SriLankan artists.

POLONNARUWA – MINNERIYA
Thereafter on your way back Jeep Safari at the Minneriya National Park - This National Park with 8889 hectares in extent is famous for it large population of elephants in herds of 100 to 150 roaming in the jungle and seen in the catchment area of the lake. Elephants, about 300 wild elephants, wild buffaloes, wild boar, spotted deer, sloth bear, Sambhur, leopards, crocodiles, jackals, 9 kinds of amphibians, 25 kinds of reptiles, 160 species of birds, 26 varieties of fishes, 78 varieties of butterflies are recorded from the Minneriya National Park.

"Elephant Back Safari / Ride" -Experience the unique mode of transportation, which was the sole mode of traveling, used by the ancient kings of Ceylon. Take a path that winds through the forest & across a small lake to a little island where you will be served some refreshments & return. Duration of the ride: 02 or 02 ? Hours

MINNERIYA – SIGIRIYA
Proceed to hotel in Sigiriya.

DAY 04 : SIGRIYA
After breakfast climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress - is home to the 5th Century “Fortress in the Sky” which is perhaps the most fantastic single wonder of the Island. It is also known as Lion Rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the fortress. Within its triple-moated defence the huge rock rises almost to a sheer height of 500ft. On its summit are the foundations of what was once a great and sumptuous palace and gardens complete with swimming pool. On one of the stairways the only known ancient work of Sinhala secular painting survived in the form of Frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original colour.

SIGIRIYA – KANDY
Thereafter proceed to Kandy, En route visit a Spice Garden in Matale to see the different spices, which Sri Lanka is famous for. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed.

DAY 05 : KANDY – PERADENIYA
Visit Royal Botanical Gardens - 147 acres in extent: started in 1374 as a pleasure garden of the King’s of Kandy. There are more than 5000 species of tree and plants. Some and endemics as well as flora from the tropical world. Spice garden and Orchid House are popular with Tourists.

Return to Kandy and visit Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic - ever since 4th Century A.D, when the Buddha's Tooth was brought to Sri Lanka hidden from sacrilegious hands in an Orissan princess' hair, the Relic has grown in repute and holiness in Sri Lanka and throughout the Buddhist world. It is considered Sri Lanka's most prized possession.

City tour of Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem Museum. Kandy - the hill capital, venue of the annual Perahera. The last stronghold of the Sinhala Kings was finally ceded to the British in 1815. Kandy is an example of the Buddhism's influence in Sri Lanka today. Temple's shrines and monasteries keeping alive Buddhist traditions are everywhere.

DAY 06 : KANDY – DICK OYA
After breakfast leave for Dick oya.

Check-in Tea Trails Hotel, Vegetarian dinner and rest.

DICK OYA – ADAM’S PEAK
Late evening proceed to Adam’s Peak – This is most sacred mountain in Sri Lanka sacred to all four major religions-Buddhism, Hinduism, Muslims and Christians. Buddhists call the mountain Sri Pada (“the sacred footprint”) and say it was visited by Gautama Buddha and placed His Footprint on top of the mountain. To Hindus, the peak Shiva Adipatham has the Shiva’s footprint. Muslims insist it is the place where Adam first set foot on earth when he was expelled from the Garden of Eden. And Roman Catholics say the footprint impressed in the boulder at the summit is that of St. Thomas, the early Christian apostle who preached in South India. People of all religious groups ascend the mountain on pilgrimage from the Full moon Poya day in December till the Full Moon Poya Day in May when the pathway to the summit is lighted in the night and other facilities are provided.

DAY 07 : ADAM’S PEAK – DICK OYA
After viewing the sunrise of the top of the peak, come down and have breakfast at the fisherman’s hut.

DAY 08 : DICK OYA – UDAWALAWE
After breakfast leave for Udawalawe passing Hatton, Ginigathhena, Avissawella, Ratnapure, Pelmadulla. Visit Water Falls & Tea Plantations En route.

DAY 09 - 10 : UDAWALAWE
Safari by Jeep to Udawalawe National Park – covers an area of 230,821 hectares and was declared in 1972. This Park is rich in Elephant population as the Park has about 500 Elephants. Wild Buffalo, Spotted Deer, Barking Deer, Wild Boar, Sambhur, Hare, Mongoose, Crocodile and 30 species of Snakes are recorded.

DAY 13 : GALLE – COLOMBO
After breakfast proceed to Colombo via Rathanapura.

On arrival commence city tour of Colombo - a drive through the city taking you to the busy commercial areas as well as the tree-lined residential, Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street - the Goldsmith’s quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, and the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749. Also visit the BMICH, see the replica of Avukana Buddha and Independence Square.

Afternoon shopping in Colombo - visit Mlesna exquisite tea boutique, cashew nut shop, ready made garments and all sorts at Majestic City. Visit the Lanka Ceramics Centre, a place where you can buy “NORITAKE SET” or other ceramic items, visit the ‘ODEL SHOP’. Visit ’BAREFOOT’, ’HOUSE OF FASHION’ and 'BEVERLY HILLS'.
